Medicare Annual Enrollment – Save the Date

The Medicare Annual Enrollment period starts every year on October 15th and ends on December 7th. During this period you can start your Medicare coverage or make changes to your current plan.

If you choose to enroll in a new plan during the annual enrollment period, your new coverage will begin on January 1st. The annual enrollment period is the only time, with few exceptions, when you are able to choose or make changes to your plan. This is also the time when you can switch to Original Medicare from a Medicare Advantage plan.

Re-Evaluating Your Current Coverage

This Medicare Annual Enrollment period is also a good time to re-evaluate your current coverage and needs. Your plan may have worked well for you when you chose it, but your circumstances may have changed. Using this time to review your coverage may help you determine if you need added benefits, whether or not you can save money, and refresh yourself on the details of your current coverage.
